More CD info

Okay. I didn't feel like charging people 4.99 for each CD.  So, I made a few deals:

1 Cd is $4.99

2 Cd's are $6.99

3 Cd's are $9.99

All 4 Cd's are $12.99

In addition to just emailing me, what goes into the email is ALSO important.  In the e-mail, tell me your full name and address so I can mail you the CD's.  No, I'm not a stalker.  Haha.  I will send you the CD's.  Once you get the CD's, check to see if they work, and then send the money to me.  Write to my email concerning my address.  I'm not putting it on here.  Safety stuff.  Sealed  Thanks!  I just wanna be sure everyone gets what they wanted.

CD'S

Hello!

I have recently made a decision.  I am gonna start selling my CD'S of the scores for my shows.  The CD'S contain ONLY the music, and no actors singing.  Although it sounds weird, they are good.  Sorry, not very modest.  I think I will only be selling them for $4.99 each or some discount thing when you buy a certain amount.  I have 4 CD'S:

Mystery, Murder, Music (Concept-Original) [31 tracks] *Original works of the show*

Mystery, Murder, Music (Final) [35 tracks] *Original works and new bring together the final version*

The Raven [13 tracks] *My first musical score*

The Best of Matthew Weinstein [16 tracks] *Selections from finished shows and shows I never finished; Lots of stuff no ones ever heard*

IF YOU WANT A CD:

Email me!! MattW0810@aol.com

that's all for now!

I'm Back

Yesterday, my Dad picked me up from sleepaway camp and brought me home.  Camp was incredible!  I made so many good friends and I was in 3 good shows---YES THREE!  I also did stagecraft and helped to build some sets.  I was in "Jekyll and Hyde", "On the Town" and "Oh Dad, Poor Dad; Momma's Hung You in the Closet and I'm Feelin' So Sad".  it was worth it.  Now I have three new shows on my rewsume on www.actorsaccess.com and I have been in 25 shows and I now I have many new memories.  It's weird being back home, and yet I feel relief.  I can't wait to spend time with my family and friends.  That's all for now.

One Day More

Hey guys!

Tomorrow is the day I leave for sleepaway camp.  I will be returning to French Woods Festival in Hancock, NY.  It is a performing arts camp, and I will be auditioning as soon as I get there.  I will be singing "Shiksa Goddess" from The Last 5 Years; one of my favorites by Jason Robert Brown.

Right now, I am spending my last day home with my mom at her office.  Raychull left for sleepaway yesterday, and I called her to check up; she sounded tired so I said good-bye.  We all saw Company last Thursday; and of course (knowing my luck) we got Raul Esparza's understudy!  We were all mad; even my dad!  But, the whole company of the show was incredible.  We were laughing and smiling the whole time.  Then we got autographs afterwards.  It was a rewarding night.

I'll write at camp if I get the chance!

As of Today...

Hey guys!

I haven't been on in a while, and I felt I needed to do some catching up.  Rachel, Ben, and Amanda are all well.  If you don't know, they're my best friends.  Lately, I have been in a few shows such as "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" (Playing Judah [A Brother]), "Where the Pencil Lead" [A play written by my 8th grade Language arts teacher] (Billy [Lead Role]), and R&H's "Cinderella" (Ensemble).

I have been working a lot on Mystery, Murder, Music and have completely finished the writing process.  If only someone could do some workshops with it---That would be truly amazing.

Well, tonight Rachel Ben and I will be going to New York City to see Raul Esparza in "Company".  Last night, my mom took me to see "A Chorus Line" and I must say that this musical was amazing in every way possible!

I'll tell you all about later!

Mystery, Murder, Music
Mystery, Murder, Music is the story of a group of audience members at a cabaret, where there is a dead body.  Through out the night, there are more murders, and clues are given by the leads in the audience and from offstage.  In the end, there is a shocking discovery-The murderer is in the audience with them!!

The Raven

I have been gone off of the website for a while, but I have returned with GREAT news.  I have written two new musicals, with complete scores: "The Raven" and "Mystery, Murder, Music".

 The Raven

The Raven is a musical based on the poem by Edgar Allan Poe.  It is the tragic story of Joseph More, who is not named in the poem, who has just began coping with the death of his wife Lenore.  After the funeral, Joseph is visited by The Raven, who haunts him for several days.  After a few days, Joseph is visited by the spirit of his wife Lenore and she gives him a key that can take him to Lenore in Heaven-When the time is RIGHT!  She leaves him, all alone.

In Act Two, Joseph goes to church, where the Raven has followed him.  His concerned friend, Mr. Madison, asks about him, and has constantly bothered Joseph before about life without Lenore.  Joseph, enraged, snaps at Mr. Madison, and starts a fight that ends their friendship.  Later that night, Joseph is sad that he has done this, and is visited by The Raven and the voices...Lenore...Joseph More...Never More...They become louder, and faster, and with a final beat, Joseph collapses, dead.  Mr. Madison arrives moments later, and apologizes at the door, and enters the chamber, to find Joseph dead.  Lenore in heaven, has found out Joseph is dead, and patiently waits for him.  Soon, Joseph arrives and they are at last together, sharing one of the only happy moments in the show.

CURTAIN.

The Things I Can and Cannot Do...The Musical Review
From the Author of the Plays 'Gossip' 'Witch' 'The Raven' and many others, comes a brilliant Musical..."The Things I Can and Cannot Do..." By Matthew Weinstein.

A Jewish Boy and His Father live with three African Americans (which consists of two daughters named Anne and June, and their Mother Martha). The boy (Peter) has a big relationship with Martha and her children in the year 1944 in Europe when the Holocaust is dying down and the civil rights segregations are kicking in, the story is about life and struggle for the family.

I think it's the most Brilliant thing I've ever written. It's powerful, emotional, the music is amazing, and very vocal. It's basically saying, this is what is happening in this time period to these people. ALthough it took all summer to write, it came out to be one of my favorite and best plays. This play will never leave my mind. And now that I have recorded the songs onto a tape, and will soon figure out how to get them onto a CD and later on in my career produce this and make an original cast recording. The play is only a few minutes long with an intermission. But, in the end, it's worth seeing! When I am done typing it up and editing it, it will be on this website!

That's all for now! I have to go to dinner! Bye bye for now!

Catching Up...
Hi Guys!

It's been a while since I posted so I thought I'd tell you what I've been up to in the past month.

Well, I celebrated all the Holidays and went on a New Years Cruise. I wrote a really wise play called "The Raven" Based on the Poem by Edgar Allan Poe. My friend and I have started to conduct music for it. It's brilliant! It has a lot of emotions in it which makes it easier to write songs. It's fun!

Rudolph closed Sunday December 18th 2005 at around four o' clock...which I have been ticked off about lately. I miss my friends so much. But, I am doing another play...hopefully I will make it...Little Red Ridinghood The Musical Version. Then I will audition for The Sound of Music. As weird as it seems...I dropped out of the School play...after getting no role, and having to be in the most retarted play ever written. It's cheesy and corny and I am too busy..."How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying".

Well THat's just about it...Oh yeah...My Bar Mitzvah is this year...September 16th...here is the Gossip Music!!!
